B.C. town grapples with suspicious death of local woman
The village of Lumby, B.C., is on alert after the killing of 44-year-old Tatjana Stefanski, who vanished from outside her home last month. B.C. RCMP said a man "believed to be involved in this death" was arrested near the body, but was released with conditions and no charges have been laid. With the suspect free, Stefanski's partner, Jason Gaudreault, says he and her children have gone into hiding. (May. 23, 2024)
