Newsroom Ready: Champagne shoots back at China's criticism on ‘two Michaels’ case
Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne says he isn’t taking any “lessons” from China over its criticism of Canada’s efforts to build an international alliance of countries calling for the freedom of Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor from their imprisonment in China. Champagne says he delivered that message forcefully to China’s foreign minister during their meeting in Rome this past summer.
