Newsroom Ready: Ceremony remembers Korean War veterans
Veterans, public officials and members of the Korean-Canadian community gathered at the Ambassador of Peace Korean War Memorial in Burnaby, B.C., on Thursday afternoon for special remembrance and wreath-laying ceremony for those involved in the Korean War. Vancouver MP and International Development Minister Harjit Sajjan attended the ceremony along with NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and the consul general of the Republic of Korea, Byung-won Chung. Sajjan said it was a day of reflection to say thank you to all those who sacrificed to give others a better life.
