Federal leaders make arguments for how Commons should sit
Before the lack of an agreement on how the House of Commons should function in the COVID-19 pandemic forced a sitting Monday morning, each of the major-party leaders spelled out how he thought Parliament should work. Ultimately the Conservatives stood alone in seeking more sittings each week than the other parties wanted or would accept. The Bloc's Yves-Francois Blanchet accused him of using formal meetings as chances to bring up petty distractions.
