Quebec looks for help from health professionals, educators in long-term home COVID-19 fight
Premier Francois Legault is looking for reinforcements in badly understaffed long-term care homes across Quebec. Legault is appealing to the sense of duty of medical specialists and health sciences teachers, asking them to lend a hand. Legault says the facilities lacked orderlies and attendants before the pandemic, and now there are 1,250 orderlies who are either ill or absent for fear of getting COVID-19.
