Newsroom Ready: Trudeau warns against opening economy too soon
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says it will be weeks yet before governments can seriously consider loosening economic restrictions related to COVID-19. He warns that doing so too soon could give up ground gained in the public health fight against the pandemic. To help affected workers, the government is expanding eligibility criteria for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit.
