Feds to give $500 million to support arts, culture and sports
Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault says the federal government will provide $500 million to support the arts, culture and sports sectors. The move comes as part of broader efforts to support creative industries hit hard by the economic shutdown linked to the COVID-19 pandemic. Guilbeault also says the federal government is planning virtual Canada Day celebrations this year in place of the traditional gathering in Ottawa.
