Trudeau pummelled with questions about WE Charity deal
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was grilled in the House of Commons Tuesday about the Liberal government’s initial choice to have WE Charity to administer a $900-million student grant program. Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer accused Trudeau of using the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse for corruption. Trudeau says he regrets not having recused himself from deliberations, but cabinet was following the advice of the non-partisan public service.
