Newsroom Ready: Ontario, Ottawa ink child-care deal
Ontario has signed a $10.2-billion deal with the federal government to reduce child-care fees. Parents of children aged five and under in child care will start getting rebates in May for a fee reduction of up to 25 per cent, retroactive to April 1. It’s part of a federal plan to bring child-care fees to an average of $10 per day by 2026.
