CERB fraudsters will be caught: Freeland
Conservative finance critic Pierre Poilievre asks Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland in question period why people who worked and earned money during the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic should have paid taxes that went to people who might have claimed the Canada Emergency Response Benefit illegitimately. Freeland replies that the plan was always to catch fraudsters after the emergency aid was paid out, which the Canada Revenue Agency is already doing.
