Ontario to strengthen public health enforcement, extend shutdown
Police in Ontario will gain new powers to enforce restrictions amid an extended stay-at-home order. Premier Doug Ford announced the measures today after experts presented dire COVID-19 projections. The province is also limiting interprovincial travel, shutting outdoor recreation facilities, closing non-essential construction projects and increasing workplace inspections.
