Newsroom Ready: Ottawa bracing for higher water as 18 homes are evacuated in flood zone
The City of Ottawa says residents of the nation's capital will feel the effects of spring flooding this year for "multiple weeks." City officials made that assessment Saturday as forecasters predicted higher flood levels this year than those experienced in 2017, when the water reached record highs. The city was working to ensure one of its main water filtration plants isn't overwhelmed by the flood waters.
