B.C. records slight decrease in overdose deaths for 2022
British Columbia's chief coroner released overdose figures for 2022, showing 2,272 residents died from toxic drugs last year. Lisa Lapointe says it marks a slight decrease from fatalities in 2021, but three of five health authorities recorded their highest-ever death rates due to toxic drugs.
